About The Position

The Senior Manager, Global Fixture Development in Architecture, is responsible for supporting the team in the development of millwork initiatives and maintaining the millwork and VM props library for Coach. This individual will work closely with internal and external partners in Production, Procurement, Construction, Visual Merchandising, and our Global Vendor Base. The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in Architecture to support the brand with the development of new fixtures and VM props. They will have a keen interest in furniture and retail design, especially with other retails. This role involves working with procurement teams to go out to suppliers for pricing, answering RFI’s and providing further details for pricing clarity. The individual will review shop drawings, finish samples, and prototypes, ensuring feedback is given in accordance with timelines provided. They will also maintain the finish & fixture library and ensure millwork documentation is current and available to cross-functional teams. Additionally, the role requires developing detailed millwork design drawings and actively participating in and producing presentations for weekly design meetings.

Requirements

  • Expert knowledge of millwork level detailing and materials
  • Strong design and 3D presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills as well as flexibility/adaptability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with condensed timelines
  • Ability to set priorities with strong initiative
  • Advanced proficiency in SketchUp, SketchUp Layout, Adobe Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design), and proficient in AutoCAD, and Excel
  • Professional degree in Architecture, Industrial Design or similar
  • 6+ years relevant experience in millwork design, retail store design, architecture or construction
