About The Position

The Senior Manager within Financial Products & Services (FPS) will lead and drive projects and programs across Target’s portfolio of financial products and services, including areas such as payments, credit, debit, and stored value. This role serves as a trusted business partner to senior leaders across Product, Finance, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to define priorities, shape roadmaps, and deliver measurable business outcomes. The position leverages data, insights, and industry trends to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and influence decisions impacting guest experience, growth, and profitability. The Senior Manager will own key program and project management processes, ensuring alignment to enterprise priorities while advancing scalable solutions, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement. This role involves leading complex cross-functional projects and programs and, where applicable, developing and coaching team members. It requires connecting teams and channels, navigating ambiguity, and aligning internal and external partners around shared priorities. The Senior Manager will create clear plans, manage risks and dependencies, and drive decisions through execution. Success requires strong internal and external partnerships and a focus on delivering meaningful results for Target and its guests.

Requirements

  • Four Year Degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of experience in project or program management, financial services, payments, retail, consulting, or related business functions
  • Demonstrates strong project/program management, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and data skills
  • Experience using data and analytical tools to translate complex information into clear plans, recommendations, and actions
  • Experience building and managing cross-functional relationships, influencing partners at multiple levels, and driving alignment and execution across internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience leading large-scale, complex projects, programs, or workstreams with significant business impact, including managing timelines, dependencies, risks, and delivery across multiple teams and partners
