Sr. Manager, Financial Planning, and Analysis
About The Position
Progyny is seeking a Senior Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis to join their team. This role will support a team that provides forward-looking financial analysis and insights to aid decision-making and ensure alignment of planned actions and targets with company goals. The position is an integral part of the finance team and will collaborate cross-functionally across the organization. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, skilled at building strong relationships across functions and levels, and adept at marshaling resources to achieve objectives. They will also possess professional curiosity to delve deeper into the root causes of situations.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis (preferably with a combination of financial accounting and reporting experience).
- Publicly traded company experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related.
- Plans and aligns: Skilled at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Ability to break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions with relevant milestones and can anticipate and adjust when needed.
- Communicates Effectively: Strong communicator and listener who is adept at developing and delivering complex information clearly and concisely. Comfortable in a variety of settings: one-on-one, small, and large groups, and at various levels.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel and Power BI skills together with strong data query experience and the ability to manipulate and interpret large sets of data.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statement presentation is a must.

- Experience with financial planning software use and/or implementation

- MBA is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Key contributor to the annual operating budget process and periodic forecasting process.
- Proficiency in variance analysis, with the ability to identify key drivers and clearly communicate financial impacts, risks, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Contribute to internal management financial reporting and presentations for the CFO, Executive Management team, and the Board of Directors.
- Experience supporting the development of long-range business plans, translating strategic priorities into financial forecasts, scenarios, and actionable recommendations.
- Own, maintain, and improve internal models, dashboards, and analyses.
- Optimize and maintain critical and sensitive data models.
- Identify and analyze operational problems and recommend effective solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on complex ad hoc projects and reporting.
