About The Position

Nordstrom is seeking a customer obsessed, results-oriented Senior Finance Manager to join our E2E Stores Finance team supporting Nordstrom Store Labor and the Selling & Styling Programs leadership team. This experienced individual will be responsible for leading a team focused on providing strategic support, analyzing, modeling and communicating impacts across our Nordstrom Store & HR leadership. The role requires an individual with strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills to support business rhythms and deliverables. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate data-driven findings into actionable insights supporting profitable outcomes and productivity improvements. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, demonstrated team leader with a strategic mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while remaining curious and flexible. This role is Hybrid-downtown Seattle, WA and does require you to be in office 4 days per week.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Finance or Accounting
  • 8+ years of experience in finance (retail finance preferred), including 3+ years management experience with a passion for leading and coaching
  • Strong Collaborator who demonstrates the ability to influence beyond scope of the position
  • Strong strategic planning abilities, critical thinking and storytelling skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage a vast range of information from multiple sources to conceptualize, drive creativity, problem solve and follow through on action
  • A curiosity that challenges the status quo, actively seeks new experiences, knowledge, and challenges

Responsibilities

  • Be a strategic partner with Nordstrom Selling & Styling Programs leadership as well as Human Resources/Compensation to advise on company initiatives
  • Create action plans with Store Leadership to drive profitability, deliver efficiencies and increase value through evolution of the service
  • Partner with teams across Stores, Store Operations, and HR providing financial support tethered to data and insights ensuring proactive visibility into future labor implications with a sharp focus on risks, opportunities, and business levers
  • Lead forecasting, close, and reporting processes including partnership with business and corporate finance, focused on monthly and quarterly goals with clear understanding of trends and implications for the year
  • Support the development of financial models and driver trees, analytical and reporting tools and ad hoc analysis/special projects
  • Drive process improvements and reporting standardization/automation, leveraging enterprise-wide efforts around KPI definitions, governance and reporting capabilities
  • Provide support, leadership and coaching for team of individual contributors through clear vision, prioritization, and support to achieve financial and business objectives
