Sr. Manager, Events & Field Marketing

CaptivateIQToronto, ON
$100,000 - $140,000Remote

About The Position

CaptivateIQ is transforming the way companies plan, manage, and optimize sales performance. Recognized by industry analysts like Forrester and G2 and backed by top-tier investors, CaptivateIQ empowers high-growth companies with the flexibility and insights needed to drive revenue performance. This role sits within Demand Generation and partners closely with Sales, Business Development, Product Marketing, Campaigns, Content, and Marketing Operations to build integrated go-to-market programs. Success in this role is measured by business outcomes—including meetings, pipeline, revenue influence, and sales adoption—not event execution alone. We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution, understands how to translate events into pipeline, and can confidently partner with senior sales and marketing leaders to drive growth.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in event marketing, field marketing, or integrated demand generation.
  • Proven success building field marketing programs that generate measurable pipeline and revenue impact.
  • Experience planning and executing conferences, executive events, webinars, customer events, and virtual experiences from strategy through execution.
  • Strong understanding of demand generation and how events contribute to integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales and Business Development to drive meetings, pipeline, and account engagement.
  • Proven ability to forecast, measure, and communicate event performance using pipeline, opportunity, and ROI metrics.
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across Marketing and Sales.
  • Strong executive presence and experience presenting recommendations and business results to senior leadership.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to make investment decisions based on data and business outcomes.
  • Experience managing large event budgets and optimizing investments based on performance.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoom Webinar, Outreach, Gong, Highspot, Slack, and Google Workspace.
  • Experience marketing to Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Compensation, Finance, or enterprise B2B software buyers.
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies and field marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own a comprehensive field marketing strategy across tradeshows, conferences, executive dinners, roadshows, webinars, partner events, customer events, and CaptivateIQ-hosted experiences.
  • Build integrated event campaigns in partnership with Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Digital Marketing, Content, Business Development, and Sales to maximize engagement before, during, and after every event.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to identify priority accounts, territories, and event investments that drive meetings, opportunities, and pipeline.
  • Evaluate sponsorships, conferences, and field marketing investments based on business impact, target audience alignment, expected pipeline contribution, and ROI.
  • Design memorable in-person and virtual experiences that strengthen brand awareness while generating measurable business outcomes.
  • Define success metrics and forecast event performance across registrations, meetings, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue influence.
  • Establish repeatable operating rhythms for pre-event planning, onsite execution, post-event follow-up, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with Business Development and Sales to ensure timely follow-up, meeting conversion, and opportunity progression after every event.
  • Analyze event performance and communicate business results, insights, recommendations, and future investment strategies to executive leadership.
  • Own and manage the annual event budget, continuously optimizing investments based on performance data and business impact.
  • Support executive engagement strategies, including speaking opportunities, customer meetings, executive dinners, and strategic account interactions.
  • Create scalable processes that improve planning, cross-functional collaboration, execution, and measurement across the events program.
