About The Position

Leading a team of subject matter experts and compliance professionals, the Senior Manager ensures regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement while serving as a key advisor to leadership on compliance strategy, risk mitigation, and safety performance. The position is accountable for driving KPIs, maintaining regulatory relationships, and fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and environmental stewardship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Public Health, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Risk Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in environmental compliance, occupational safety, public health, food safety, or related disciplines.
  • Experience leading managers, technical professionals, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, environmental regulations, food safety, public health, and integrated pest management principles.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and managing compliance programs in complex operational environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, manage risk, and drive organizational performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, REHS, CP-FS, CIH, ISO 14001, or equivalent.
  • Experience in hospitality, resorts, healthcare, government, higher education, or other multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Yosemite Hospitality's Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), Food Safety, Public Health, Environmental Compliance, and IPM programs.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on regulatory compliance, enterprise risk, business continuity, and environmental stewardship.
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of compliance and technical experts.
  • Oversee Environmental Management Systems (EMS), including maintaining and submitting annual requirements of the Environmental Management Plan (EMP), Risk Management Plan (RMP), ISO 14001 certification, audits, documentation, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA Food Code, environmental regulations, public health requirements, and National Park Service concession contract obligations.
  • Direct risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses (RCA), and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs.
  • Lead inspections, audits, regulatory reporting, agency relationships, and resolution of compliance findings.
  • Oversee occupational safety, food safety, public health, emergency preparedness, sustainability, and environmental compliance programs.
  • Manage IPM operations, environmental permitting, and AST/UST compliance programs.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, audit results, injury metrics, and corrective action performance to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with operational leaders to implement practical, risk-based solutions that protect employees, guests, assets, and natural resources.
  • Oversee compliance training, competency development, records management, and regulatory retention requirements.
