As the Sr. Manager of EHS reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, you will lead the strategic vision and execution of all environmental, health, and safety programs for the facility. You will be the primary owner of regulatory compliance, ensuring the site meets or exceeds all federal, state, and local standards while protecting the well-being of employees, the community, and the environment. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to drive continuous improvement in safety performance and carbon footprint reduction through innovative project design and world-class EHS management systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in an Environmental or Occupational Health & Safety field (For external candidates)
  • Expert understanding of OSHA and EPA standards
  • Ability to routinely climb 3+ flights of stairs, work from heights up to 120 ft, and lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial hygiene, safety, environmental and/or engineering or related field
  • Experience in project management and leading project initiatives
  • Certified Safety or Industrial Hygiene professional certification
  • Experience in development and/or delivery of training
  • A thorough understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental Standards and Guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Direct all aspects of plant safety and environmental programs, ensuring 100% compliance with OSHA, EPA, and corporate standards while serving as the primary liaison with government agencies
  • Lead a technical EHS team, including Coordinators and Interns, providing effective career development, coaching, and accountability for site-wide safety goals
  • Own the design and implementation of EHS-related capital projects, identifying opportunities for energy optimization and environmental exposure reduction
  • Drive the site’s Emergency Preparedness and risk management strategies, ensuring plan integrity and leading all internal and external inspections and audits
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Leadership Team to integrate EHS initiatives into the plant’s broader mission, ensuring safety and quality standards are modeled by all personnel
  • Direct the development and management of the EHS departmental budget, aligning fiscal goals with long-term site reliability and sustainability objectives
