Learn more about BNSF and our Benefits Job Location: Fort Worth Other Potential Locations: Fort Worth, TX Anticipated Start Date: 08/03/2026 Number of Positions: 1 Salary Range: $107,000 - $158,300 4+ years of experience : $107,000 - $130,000 6+ years of experience : $118,700 - $158,300 These ranges reflect what BNSF Railway reasonably expects to pay for this position, based on the level of the role, scope, and responsibilities. Final compensation and position level will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay and bonus eligibility, BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package. The BNSF Railway Finance Department provides innovative strategic solutions and world-class financial services to support BNSF's overall performance. The department is committed to maintaining integrity and recognizing the company's successes, ensuring that BNSF remains a leader in the railway industry. Within the Finance Department, several specialized departments contribute to its overall mission: Controller, Revenue Management, Strategic Sourcing, Tax, Treasury, and Strategic Studies. Each department is vital in managing BNSF's financial health and strategic financial planning. These departments work collaboratively to secure BNSF's economic stability and support its growth and innovation within the railway industry. This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. This position will lead a team that supports a variety of Budget areas, including Equipment Rents, Joint Facilities, Haulage, and Passenger Services. This is a high-impact budget area with a strong focus on Business Partnering, including value creation for the areas served and strong communication capabilities to ensure Finance Leadership understands variances to various comparative time frames.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience in finance-related field, as applicable
• Expert understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Ability to research accounting issues and conclude on the proper accounting treatment
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to adjust readily to multiple demands and shifting priorities and possess self-confidence to respectfully challenge other’s results and work products
• Strong Excel and Power Point skills
• Successful candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to meet deadline-oriented tasks and demonstrate the ability to organize team efforts to accomplish common goals.
• This position needs to positively contribute to a high-morale/high-performance culture.

Nice To Haves

• CPA and/or public accounting experience
• Masters’ Degree in accounting or business administration

Responsibilities

• Development and monitoring of processes, models, and reports to accurately monitor and forecast expenses.
• Performing balance sheet accruals, analysis support, metric reporting, and other projects relative to informational needs of business partners utilizing various tools
• Support the Equipment Rents and Passenger Services team as a budget Subject Matter Expert for their areas.
• Leading/facilitating monthly budget reviews and forecasts with assigned operations groups, including the VP Service Design.
• Assisting in the development of performance measures, strategic initiatives and annual plans
