Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing Asset & Content Governance

Chiesi GroupBoston, MA
$161,280 - $197,120Hybrid

About The Position

This role is for a builder who wants ownership to establish and run Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Claims Library governance for US Rare. The responsibilities include creating tagging, claims, and lifecycle standards to ensure content compliance and reusability across teams. The goal is to train users, improve findability, and leverage governance as a speed advantage for US programs, resulting in lower risk, less rework, and faster delivery of content for Rare communities. This program is underway, and the plan is to build internal capability in 2026, with the founding owner proving the model. As the model matures, the role will help shape how this capability scales, potentially transitioning to a broader Marketing Operations run-state and expanding scope globally.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in DAM/content governance or content operations (regulated industry preferred).
  • Strong metadata/taxonomy design and content lifecycle management experience.
  • Working knowledge of claims management, usage rights/consent, and audit requirements.
  • Experience with enterprise DAM and medical/legal/review systems (e.g., Veeva PromoMats or similar).
  • Proven training and change-management chops—comfortable leading adoption across teams.
  • Data literacy—can define/report KPIs (reuse rate, cycle time, metadata completeness) using Excel/BI.
  • Vendor/agency management experience; comfortable coordinating offshore support.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; library science, information management, or similar a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own governance for US Rare across DAM and the Claims Library—define metadata/taxonomy standards and controlled vocabularies.
  • Ensure claims traceability for every asset/module (source IDs, version lineage, rights/consent, expiry).
  • Run the lifecycle from creation → approval → reuse → deprecation/archive, with automated checks and alerts.
  • Be the compliance gate with Regulatory/Medical/Privacy; prepare for audits and quickly remediate findings.
  • Drive adoption—deliver training, playbooks, office hours, and a champion network so teams actually use the standards.
  • Improve findability & reuse—QA ingestion/tagging, partner with brand teams and agencies, and reduce rework.
  • Enable modular content—ensure components are structured/tagged for reuse and localization.
  • Make the data useful—publish dashboards on reuse, cycle time, and metadata quality; turn insights into actions with Analytics.
  • Manage vendors/SLA work—lead offshore/onshore tagging backlogs, set acceptance criteria, and audit quality.
  • Continuously improve—run quarterly governance reviews, refine policies, and help design the future run-state with Marketing Ops.
  • Coordinate with brand teams, agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure metadata completeness and source file accuracy.
  • Conduct regular content audits, cleanup, and hygiene activities.
  • Manage and maintain the Component Library, Claims Library, Digital Rights Management (DRM), and taxonomy structures.
  • Upload content (including in-design/source files) to the Content Hub and maintain quality control.
  • Perform content reviews and quality checks on all assets.
