Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience required, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting (preferred) and multinational corporate accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in cost accounting, especially in inventory management, within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in cost accounting principles, financial reporting, and experience with accounting software and SAP systems.
  • Hands-on Excel skills and data analysis capabilities are essential.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing a team, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications such as CMA or CPA are highly desirable.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience is preferred.
  • Experience in cost accounting, especially in inventory management, within a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures to ensure accurate cost allocation for products and services.
  • Prepare and analyze cost reports, including margins, cost trends, and profitability analyses, providing valuable insights for management.
  • Coordinate and conduct inventory audits and standard cost updates to maintain accurate inventory valuation and control.
  • Partner with production, procurement, and engineering teams to understand and manage manufacturing and procurement costs.
  • Contribute to the budgeting process by providing cost projections and assisting in the development of pricing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards, and assist with audits.
  • Manage and mentor cost accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
