About The Position

This is a 100% on-site position and supports multiple, small companies. Experience working in a small company environment and as a working manager, a multi-tasker, will lead to greater success. This position leads corporate Human Resources including planning and directing all human resources’ functions, communications, and administrative work for the companies. This role leads a small team of HR professionals, ensures compliance with employment laws and best practices while promoting innovative HR solutions. General Essential Functions include:

Requirements

  • 15+ years overall HR experience; 7-10 years in management roles
  • Global HR experience required
  • Ability to handle high stress environment
  • Excellent business acumen; knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Legal experience required; knowledge of employment laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process
  • Proven leadership skills; forward thinking; creative
  • Strong analytical ability; independent thinker
  • Multi-tasker; strong flexibility skills; facilitation skills; good listener; decisive
  • Critical ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and HR systems
  • Experience handling all areas of HR, especially in small to medium sized company environment
  • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written; proven ability in creative writing; multiple language skills helpful 
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, various email and internet programs and applications; excellent Excel skills required for detailed calculations
  • Experience as a working manager; proven ability to follow through on assignments and willingness to do routine work
  • Ability to use all areas of sophisticated HRIS system; knowledge of various modules in system; excellent skills in using databases
  • Fluent in English language including reading, writing and speaking; ability to read and write at a minimum of high school level; ability to clearly communicate to all levels in organization
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business required

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or MBA highly desired
  • JD or multiple legal courses preferred
  • Quality/Continuous Improvement/Lean certification helpful

Responsibilities

  • Leads, plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the organization’s human resources’ function and performance
  • Translates strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans
  • Participates in development of Company’s business plans and programs as strategic partner with particular emphasis its people impact
  • Establishes and implements short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Leads HR initiatives for MA&D; manages due diligence, transition and integration
  • Leads, develops, and builds strong HR team in cutting edge, progressive HR programs 
  • Works across organization to develop and implement HR strategies, processes, policies, procedures; promotes entrepreneurial and innovative culture
  • Partners with business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment; recommends organizational structures and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives
  • Oversees all areas of HR including, but not limited to, legal compliance, benefits, compensation, incentive programs, employee relations, retirement plans, talent acquisition, employee development, policies and procedures, and employee engagement; develops and implements progressive and proactive compensation and benefits programs 
  • Sets standard by which the entire HR function and other critical operating departments are measured; ensures staff, processes and infrastructure in place to encourage and sustain an environment for empowered employees 
  • Leads team in continuous improvement; ensures solid business processes in place and utilized
  • Standardizes HR processes and solutions across organizations to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver business results
  • Oversees design and development of compensation strategy and programs; ensures regulatory compliance and competitive compensation program
  • Evaluates Company culture; provides recommendations for changes to accomplish Company goals and objectives; assists in development and implementation of plans to achieve expected Company culture
  • Develops and implements staffing strategies and implementation plans and programs to identify talent within and outside corporation for positions of responsibility; identifies appropriate and effective external sources for candidates
  • Evaluates and recommends human resource outsourcing opportunities and technology solutions to improve HR processes, procedures and data management  
  • Develops and manages annual HR budget and all Company labor budgets
