About The Position

The Corporate Development team at Adobe strategically identifies, sources, evaluates, and implements Adobe’s inorganic growth roadmap, including acquisitions, divestitures, and investments. This role involves working with executives on strategic issues across various departments such as product, marketing, sales, IT, finance, legal, and HR. The position challenges the individual to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to develop strategic investment themes and assess potential opportunities. It requires the ability to lead and support all aspects of the deal process, including negotiation, due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation. The role also involves establishing a deep understanding of new customer segments, industry trends, market positioning, and emerging companies, while supporting post-acquisition integration efforts and mentoring junior team members. Utilizing an external network of industry specialists is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of cumulative experience in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.
  • BA/BS from a top university in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or similar field.
  • Interest and experience in Adobe’s key business lines (Productivity, Creativity, Customer Experience Orchestration).
  • Demonstrated network of relevant high-growth tech founders and industry contacts.
  • Strategic problem solver that ‘connects the dots’ or equivalent experience.
  • High EQ, executive influencing and business intuition.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Build highly effective relationships with key internal and external partners to develop strategic investment themes, assess potential acquisition and investment opportunities.
  • Identify product gaps, evaluate build/partner/buy, and collaborate on target selection.
  • Lead and support all aspects of the deal process (e.g., execution, negotiation, and due diligence, including financial modeling and valuation).
  • Conduct end-to-end, meticulous analyses, driving the ‘right conversations’ and getting to the heart of the issues.
  • Establish a robust understanding of new customer segments, industry trends, market positioning, and emerging companies.
  • Embrace assignments and projects across Corporate Development and M&A Integration.
  • Support post-acquisition integration efforts.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Use external network of industry specialists to bring outside-in knowledge of market trends and opportunities.
