For more information, visit www.jaggaer.com We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Development to support the execution of our M&A and strategic growth agenda in a PE-backed environment. This role spans the full deal lifecycle including sourcing, diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, and closing – with a particular emphasis on building and managing the sourcing pipeline. The Senior Manager will be expected to develop market maps; identify and screen targets; cultivate relationships with potential targets and other members of the ecosystem; and drive pipeline momentum; while also contributing hands-on to transaction diligence from day one. This is an execution-oriented role suited for a high-potential professional with ~5 years of experience in private equity, VC / growth equity, corporate development, or investment banking. This Senior Manager will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership to evaluate opportunities, assess strategic and product fit, and determine financial and operational impact. Sourcing and pipeline development will be the largest share of this person’s time initially, but the role requires competency across the full transaction life cycle. Intellectual curiosity and a passion for the details are critical for the role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • ~5 years of progressive experience in private equity, corporate development VC / growth equity, investment banking, or management consulting (transaction / diligence-focused)
  • Demonstrated experience in sourcing, deal origination, commercial and financial diligence
  • PE-backed and software exposure strongly preferred
  • Energized by sourcing and outbound outreach, not just reactive deal work
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; deep financial modeling experience required
  • Superior attention to detail without losing sight of the strategic picture
  • Proven self-starter with the ability to drive multiple large-scale projects and deal executions simultaneously from start to finish, in a deadline-driven setting
  • Sound business judgment and ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Clear, concise, and compelling written and verbal communication
  • Exceptional executive presence, strategic thinking, and ability to partner with and influence senior management and executive stakeholders
  • Motivated by accountability, learning, and increasing responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Drive ideation, proactive sourcing, and prioritization of acquisition and partner opportunities in partnership with the VP
  • Build and maintain market maps and actionable M&A pipeline across priority verticals and product adjacencies
  • Own target list development and pipeline tracking end-to-end
  • Develop outreach materials and drive proactive engagement of outbound opportunities
  • Screen opportunities from bankers, founders, and PE sponsors
  • Manage banker and intermediary relationships at the working level
  • Support and lead meetings with potential targets
  • Produce regular pipeline updates, deal status reporting, and market intelligence summaries for leadership and board
  • Support deep internal subject matter expert and customer diligence to evaluate potential acquisition or partner opportunities
  • Evaluate build / buy / partner considerations, strategic fit, product alignment, and financial impact of targets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, finance, executive leadership, and board to evaluate and advance deals
  • Build financial models, commercial cases, and decision-making frameworks for key stakeholders
  • Prepare and present deal materials to executive leadership and board
  • Support transaction execution and deal structuring including timeline management, process coordination, advisor interactions, and approval workstreams
  • Support closing and post-close integration transition workstreams
