About The Position

This role leads construction management activities for complex capital and facilities projects across DePuy Synthes sites, ensuring delivery that is safe, compliant, on schedule, and within approved budgets. The Sr. Manager, Construction Mgmt. Lead partners closely with Engineering, EHS, Quality, Procurement, and site leadership to translate business needs into high‑quality built environments that support manufacturing, R&D, and corporate operations. This is an opportunity to shape project outcomes with enterprise‑level impact while strengthening standardized construction practices across the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in construction management, capital project delivery, or facilities project leadership within regulated or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex construction projects with multiple stakeholders and external contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, cost controls, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to lead safely and ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • English (business proficiency).

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, or other highly regulated manufacturing or R&D facilities.
  • Experience working within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Familiarity with global capital governance processes and project management frameworks.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM, or PE.
  • PMP, CCM, PE, or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction management for large, complex capital and facilities projects from pre‑construction through closeout, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Manage external partners including architects, engineers, general contractors, and specialty vendors to ensure performance, compliance, and value delivery.
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, company standards, and EHS policies.
  • Develop and execute construction execution plans, risk mitigation strategies, and site logistics plans aligned with business continuity needs.
  • Oversee project cost controls, change management, forecasting, and reporting for assigned projects.
  • Partner with Global Real Estate, Facilities, Engineering, and site stakeholders to align construction activities with long‑term asset strategies.
  • Provide construction subject‑matter expertise during feasibility studies, scope development, and contractor selection.
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying best practices, lessons learned, and standardized processes across construction programs.
