About The Position

Assist with the development and implementation of a comprehensive Commercial Data Acquisition & Governance framework aligned with organizational objectives. Serve as a subject matter expert and hands-on contributor for governance and acquisition activities, including documentation, profiling, and compliance. Drive organizational adoption of data governance and acquisition practices through training, communication, and change management. Identify, evaluate, and onboard external data sources to support commercial analytics and operations. Assist with the negotiation and management of vendor contracts and third-party data agreements, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory requirements. Monitor data acquisitions and ensure the data are being used by the business. Define and enforce data management standards, policies, and best practices across the data lifecycle. Document data assets, business glossaries, and lineage, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and manage data-related third-party agreements. Lead evaluation, selection, and deployment of data governance platforms (e.g., Data Catalog, Data Quality tools). Partner with IT and vendors to optimize system capabilities and ensure continuous improvement. Recommend KPIs and metrics to monitor data quality, governance effectiveness, and acquisition performance. Act as a liaison between Commercial Operations, Analytics, IT, and external partners. Provide reporting on data acquisition and governance initiatives, risks, and performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or related field
  • Seven years of experience managing governance and sourcing programs.
  • Seven years of experience with platforms such as Informatica, IBM Inosphere, Alation, or similar tool.
  • Seven years of experience with SQL, Snowflake/Redshift, Data Warehousing, and MDM.
  • Seven years of experience drafting and enforcing data standards and policies.
  • Five years negotiating data vendor agreements.
  • Five years of data governance and acquisition within a commercial organization.
