Job Summary: The Sr. Manager, Category US, will partner with the Director of Category to develop a multi year strategy including product category development, product and occasion positioning and cross functional strategy throughout the marketing campaign life cycle. The Sr. Manager will be asked to identify key marketing brand priorities for the year and contribute to developing a market plan to achieve these goals. This includes working with franchise partners in developing their marketing calendars to drive sales and brand initiatives to deliver against our business and brand goals. This individual will also manage a direct report, including guiding the development of their capabilities across brand marketing functions and setting up a value driven team culture. RBI follows a 5 day, in-office work schedule to support collaboration. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in brand marketing; QSR/Foodservice/CPG a plus
  • Effective communicator, both written, verbal and through presentations. Articulates concepts in a clear, structured and succinct manner, adjusted for the audience
  • Results-driven with a bias for action and commitment to excellence. Acts with a sense of urgency
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally and with external partners
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking abilities
  • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to drive decisions and optimize performance

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with negotiation and partnership’s projects is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Identifies occasions within the market, including dayparts, party size, dining demands and menu architecture opportunities
  • Contributes to strategic planning, implementation of campaigns, competitive analysis and periodic reviews for occasions within PLK long term growth strategy.
  • Provides support to franchisees and field employees, as well as marketing and operations functions
  • Collaborates with various cross-functional departments such as Operations, Marketing Analytics, Insights, Media, PR, Communications, Digital, Supply Chain and Legal to manage categories, calendar and sales activations
  • Creates executive presentations for strategic projects in a logical and well-thought-out manner, including a stage gate approval process for initiative progression
  • Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget
