About The Position

The Sr. Manager, BOC Operations manages the daily operation of the Stamford facility, Oversees the BOC Operation, supplying the On-Air needs of our Productions, Supervising and Scheduling the BOC Operations Team, and providing in-BOC Operations support for live sports events involving Multiple Complex Remote facilities usages. This individual will manage a team of broadcasting professionals, work closely with other departments, and ensure the highest standards of broadcast quality and compliance are consistently maintained.

Requirements

  • College degree in communications /television production or related field, and/or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in TV production / operations
  • Proven experience managing technical teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep understanding of transmission planning, signal flow, and connectivity infrastructure
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft O365
  • Superb communications skills and ability to work in live sports environment
  • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Experience with contract negotiation and vendor management a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Sports BOC Operations Managers, including schedule management and daily task oversight
  • Lead day-to-day broadcast operations across all channels and platforms, ensuring smooth execution and high-quality delivery
  • Develop and manage transmission strategies for all remote productions and live events
  • Oversee scheduling, production workflows, and technical execution for live, pre-recorded, and special broadcast content
  • Set team objectives, monitor performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and training
  • Act as the primary liaison with media outlets and master control centers, including 30 Rock, Stamford NOC, Dry Creek, Peacock, and other NBC affiliates or independent networks
  • Collaborate with vendors to create contracts and project plans for future production initiatives
  • Manage vendor relationships for signal and connectivity planning on assigned projects
  • Prepare and distribute transmission and connectivity documentation to both internal teams and external partners
