This role will be responsible for maintaining a constructive work environment both internally and externally, project management, meeting coordination, and production of agendas and meeting minutes.

Requirements

  • BA or BS required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in alliance management, licensing, business development, or contract management within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of partnership agreements (e.g., co-promotion, in-licensing, distribution, or development collaboration agreements), including performance tracking against contractual obligations.
  • Experience establishing or participating in joint governance structures (e.g., Joint Steering Committees, Joint Commercialization Committees) with external partners.
  • Working knowledge of drug development, regulatory, and commercialization processes sufficient to coordinate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Legal, and Commercial teams.
  • Experience building and tracking partnership KPIs/scorecards and translating performance data into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, concurrent, and complex intercompany relationships simultaneously, including experience navigating conflict or renegotiation with external partners.
  • Proven ability to lead without direct authority in a matrixed environment, influencing internal and external stakeholders toward shared objectives.

  • Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or ophthalmology preferred
  • experience working with academic medical centers or specialty distributors is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all matters between Harrow and partner organizations collaborating on the development and commercialization of branded/generic/biosimilar pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
  • Alliances could span commercialization partners, in-license collaborators, academic medical centers, specialty eye care institutions, specialty distributors, and other key development and commercial partners.
  • Develop and maintain relationships: building strong, trust-based relationships as the single point of contact for Harrow with key stakeholders and partner organizations, crucial for fostering collaboration and achieving shared objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams: work closely with various internal departments, such as sales, marketing, supply chain, regulatory, medical affairs, product development, and legal, to ensure alignment and effective execution of partnership strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze performance: track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze the effectiveness of partnerships, which are essential for identifying areas for improvement and optimizing outcomes.
  • Drive joint initiatives: develop and implement joint marketing and sales initiatives, driving revenue growth and expanding market reach.
  • Ensure alignment and governance: ensure alignment with the strategic goals of the partnership and that appropriate governance structures are in place to manage the relationship effectively.
  • Resolve conflicts and mitigate risks: proactively identify and address potential challenges, disputes or issues that may arise during the course of the alliance, ensuring the continuity of collaborative efforts.
  • Identify and evaluate potential partners: proactively seek out organizations that align with the company’s strategic goals and assess the potential value of those partnerships.
