This position performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades requiring advanced specialized knowledge (e.g., electrical, HVAC, etc.). It involves testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing machines, equipment, and/or systems. The role conducts a variety of complex installation and maintenance work to prevent breakdowns and ensure proper functioning of facility, machinery, equipment, and applicable systems.
Requirements
- Conveyor experience 1+ years required.
- Trade school with completion of a formal apprenticeship program.
- Four years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of equipment including mechanical electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Willingness to work various shifts to meet business needs is required.
Responsibilities
- Maintains safe, efficient and proper operation of a variety of Distribution Center equipment and systems.
- Completes tests, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
- Interprets blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings and specifications.
- Leads and guides other associates in safety procedures, installations and maintenance.
- Recommends and implements improvements to equipment, operations and procedures as appropriate.
- Oversees and maintains repair, inventory and maintenance logs.
- Estimates costs, prepares requisitions and contacts vendors for parts and service as necessary.
- Performs special projects or duties as assigned.
