About The Position

The Sr. Maintenance/Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, replacing, and installing plant mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems for all plant equipment. This includes machinery maintenance, lubrication, preventative maintenance (PMs), troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, and possible installations. The role involves providing support to production, requiring outstanding electrical and mechanical skills to pinpoint the cause of breakdowns in a timely manner and distinguish between mechanical and electrical issues. The individual must be able to identify unusual sounds indicating potential trouble and dismantle equipment to access defective parts. They will examine and determine the wear of parts, repairing or replacing them as needed. A key aspect of the role is the ability to read and understand mechanical prints, electrical wiring diagrams/schematics, AC/DC motors, pneumatic diagrams, and hydraulic diagrams, and work with electrical panels up to 480 volts. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical components, electrical controls, AC/DC motors, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, bearings, and power transmission systems. A good working knowledge of various meters (volt/amp meters, schematics, dial calipers, heat sensing guns, etc.) is essential. The role involves fabrication of equipment using welding (arc and gas) and making adjustments to improve productivity. The Sr. Maintenance/Electrician will maintain a close relationship with Machine Operators and Production Supervisors, ensuring free exchange of information to maintain plant and equipment. They must be willing to train others and share knowledge. The position requires a minimum of three years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment, technical skills in all disciplines of industrial maintenance, and a working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment. The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and possess outstanding analytical and decision-making skills are also crucial.

Responsibilities
