About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Senior Mainframe Applications Developer in either Burlington or Durham, NC. This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in your local time zone. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible. Applicants who live within 35 miles of either the Burlington, NC or Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in-office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
12 or more years' of COBOL (IBM Enterprise COBOL for z/OS) experience
12 or more years' of JCL experience
12 or more years' of DB2/SQL experience
12 or more years' of VSAM File Processing experience
12 or more years' of TSO/ISPF experience
12 or more years' experience with Research, Analysis & Debugging skills
12 or more years' experience in documentation of technical specs, unit test plan and test summary
12 or more years' experience in MS Windows/MS Office 365/MS Teams

Responsibilities

Attend project related meetings which may include daily stand-ups depending on the project.(A mix of waterfall and agile projects may be assigned)
Analysis and documentation of project requirements/technical specs using standard document templates
Coding per company standards
Unit testing and documentation of unit test plans and test summaries per standard docs.
QA/UA support as needed
Possible production support ticket research
Support as needed for projects after production deployment.
Provide weekly status report of current assignments at end of each week.
Works well individually and as part of a team
Communication skills, both written and verbal
