About The Position

This position is responsible for keeping the facility and machinery operating in excellent condition and repairing any problems when they are discovered. The Sr. Machine Maintenance Technician will be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around the facility and machinery to include but not limited to; conducting quality assessments, scheduling repairs, repairing problems, maintaining inventory, start-up, and developing preventative maintenance procedures. Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, landscaping, carpentry, door or wall repair. Perform routine maintenance on machinery. Such as automation cells, 3-axis robots, conveyors, packaging equipment, assembly equipment etc. Plan and schedule repairs on equipment and or facility. Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures Working on damaged electrical wiring. Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly. Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof. Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries. Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped. Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures. Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard. Responsible for daily machinery start-up.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 5+ years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
  • Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity
  • Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
  • Grounds keeping and maintenance experience
  • Wide variety of machinery experience
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
  • Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
  • The ability to complete production paperwork
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications required
  • Strong facilitation and interpersonal skills required
  • Must be able to communicate complex information to all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated high quality computer skills including MS Office
  • Must be detail-oriented and produce high quality work in a high-volume environment
  • Must be able to handle confidential information in an appropriate and professional manner
  • Ability to remain flexible and open to change within a fluid global industry
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. on a regular basis
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Employees must not be specifically barred from working with Federal contracts, government entities or otherwise listed on excluded parties list as maintained by the Federal government

Nice To Haves

  • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field
