About The Position

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on PitchBook’s AI & ML (Insights) team, you will develop AI-powered features that extract insights from structured and unstructured data, including reports and news. You will design, build, train, deploy, optimize, and maintain machine learning models and services for user-facing features on the PitchBook Platform, with a focus on NLP, generative AI, large language models, and scalable data systems. Your work will help improve the speed, discoverability, quality, and quantity of insights available to customers by inferring meaning and structure from large volumes of data and enriching datasets with predictive and generative intelligence. You will take ownership of key technical components, contribute to architecture decisions, and work with engineers, data scientists, product managers, and data collection teams to align solutions with business goals and AI/ML strategy. You will help ensure systems meet standards for performance, reliability, security, data integrity, transparency, monitoring, evaluation, compliance, and responsible AI. The position also includes mentoring and knowledge sharing, supporting hiring and onboarding, and contributing to efficient development and deployment practices. This role is expected to be in the office five days a week in a standard office setting. Employees use a PC and phone throughout the day, and limited corporate travel to remote offices or business meetings and events may be required.
