About The Position

HireNow Staffing is actively recruiting a seasoned, highly skilled Sr. Logistics Specialist / Process Engineer to join one of our valued client partners in Blythewood, South Carolina. This position is ideal for an experienced automotive supply chain professional with extensive Just-In-Time (JIT) and Just-In-Sequence (JIS) expertise who thrives in highly collaborative manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimizing material flow, supporting supplier integration, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring uninterrupted production support. This opportunity requires hands-on experience within an OEM or automotive manufacturing environment and strong cross-functional leadership capabilities. The Sr. Logistics Specialist / Process Engineer will support logistics operations, process development, supplier collaboration, and material flow optimization across automotive manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related discipline.
  • Minimum eight years of automotive supply chain, logistics, or JIT/JIS experience.
  • Direct experience working with automotive suppliers.
  • Hands-on experience supporting OEM manufacturing environments.
  • Experience performing process audits.
  • Strong understanding of VDA, ISO, and automotive industry standards.
  • Experience with change management principles.
  • Experience with TMS, WMS, route optimization, or material flow planning systems.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Stable and consistent employment history.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and enhancement of JIT and JIS logistics processes.
  • Improve material handling systems and equipment utilization.
  • Support change management activities and process implementation.
  • Ensure alignment with automotive quality standards and requirements.
  • Optimize inbound logistics and material flow strategies.
  • Support route optimization and transportation efficiency initiatives.
  • Improve inventory movement and production support activities.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Partner directly with automotive suppliers to support production requirements.
  • Resolve delivery and quality issues to prevent production disruptions.
  • Ensure suppliers meet timing and performance expectations.
  • Strengthen communication and operational alignment.
  • Collaborate with logistics, planning, manufacturing, and production teams.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Participate in change management activities and evaluation of change requests.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects supporting operational excellence.
  • Perform process audits and maintain compliance with industry requirements.
  • Support VDA, ISO, and automotive standards initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen operational controls.
