About The Position

As Logistics Senior Operations Manager, you will manage a multi-level team comprised of Yard Operations Managers, Yard Coordinators, Dispatchers, and drivers at a single site or as a multi-site leader. You’ll be responsible for the operational execution of Target's Private Fleet(s), manage a multi-million-dollar annual budget, and oversee multiple third-party carriers in a complex delivery network. You will identify opportunities for efficiency and lead a strong safety culture by addressing safety trends through process improvement and ensuring clear expectations are set and met. You will oversee a Private Fleet and work on strategy, execution-related processes, and expense management, while adhering to all local/state/federal regulations and providing an appropriate level of industry standard insight. You will be responsible for leading a diverse team focused on delivering inventory to Target’s stores on-time and in the most efficient way possible. You will establish and maintain partnerships with various internal and external teams. Target Global Supply Chain and Logistics is evolving at an incredible pace. Requirements

Four year degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of leadership experience
Creative approach to problem solving
Strong analytical and reasoning skills
Excellent communication skills
Transportation management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Travel up to 10%

Background in retail or transportation

Responsibilities

Serve as the leader of people of Yard Operations for Private Fleet location(s) and teams.
All aspects of timely merchandise flow and associated performance metrics are inherent in this responsibility.
Execution of Best Practices for Private Fleet Transportation operations and stakeholder engagement.
Manage third-party carrier relationships.
Optimize routing through analysis and evolution of delivery windows, cube, unit of measure, and other key measurements.
Work in partnership with Inventory Management, Field Operations and Store Operations on solving key transportation flow problems, leveraging the ability to extract insights from data and analytics; deep root-cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities to provide solutions for current and future problems.
Manage large-scale projects with multiple inter-dependencies in support of supply chain priorities.
Lead the data-driven analysis and CI activities within Target’s Transportation Network.
Partner across Supply Chain, Stores, and HQ teams to ensure aligned priorities in service to the guest.
