About The Position

The Sr. Loan Closer validates and collects final documentation, verifies regulatory and agency compliance, draws closing documents and reviews signed collateral documents for completeness, reviews final figures from escrow, ensures all at-closing conditions are met, and disburses funds according to policies.

Requirements

  • Proven written and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stay abreast of changes within the industry
  • Knowledge and experience in closing conventional, jumbo, FHA, VA and bond loans
  • Analytical skills to include reviewing and understanding loan disclosure and closing documents
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, highly ethical manner
  • Time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 – 5 years residential mortgage closing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Encompass Loan Origination System a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Obtain required documentation prior to closing, review loan fees and system data
  • Preparing documents to send to the closing agent
  • Preparing and issue the Closing Disclosure to the borrower(s)
  • Review the Closing Disclosure to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and completeness prior to closing
  • Review signed closing documents for completeness and signatures
  • Verify and clear all closing conditions
  • Validate fees and initiate wire of funds to closing agent with instructions
  • Resolve closing issues
  • Clear any closing related post-closing issues
