About The Position

This attorney will play a critical role in supporting the company’s continued growth and innovation by serving as a trusted legal advisor across a broad range of commercial transactions, corporate governance matters, and strategic business initiatives. This is a highly visible position that will partner closely with senior leaders across operations, procurement, finance, talent, sustainability, and corporate development. The successful candidate will provide practical, business-focused legal counsel while helping to build scalable legal processes and infrastructure that support one of the most recognized and innovative companies in the clean energy sector. Requirements

5–10 years of legal experience, including substantial expertise drafting, negotiating, and advising on sophisticated commercial transactions.
Pragmatic, business-minded attorney with exceptional judgment, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
Outstanding communication skills, executive presence, and a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization.

Nice To Haves

A combination of top law firm and in-house experience is preferred.
Experience supporting companies in the energy, infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, or other highly regulated and commercially complex industries is desirable.
Experience advising on intellectual property matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of a broad range of sophisticated commercial agreements, including equipment procurement contracts, strategic partnership agreements, real estate leases, grid services agreements, homebuilder arrangements, and other business-critical transactions.
Serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, providing practical, solution-oriented legal counsel that balances business objectives with risk management considerations.
Develop and enhance contract templates, playbooks, policies, and legal processes designed to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademark strategy, licensing provisions, brand protection, and related commercial issues.
Support corporate governance activities, including board and committee matters, preparation of resolutions and meeting materials, and governance-related compliance initiatives.
Assist with internal audits, sustainability initiatives, and other cross-functional governance projects.
Collaborate closely with finance, talent, operations, procurement, and other business teams to address complex commercial and strategic matters.
Manage and oversee outside counsel, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective legal support.
