About The Position

The Sr Learning & Development Specialist will play a key role in designing, delivering, and maintaining role-based, technical, and operational learning programs that enable employees to develop the skills needed to excel in their functions. This position focuses on improving performance, accelerating time-to-proficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous learning. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, operational leaders, and business stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational goals. The role involves creating engaging learning solutions, leveraging instructional design best practices, and using technology to deliver blended learning programs. The position also includes tracking learning effectiveness, making data-driven improvements, and supporting special projects as needed. This role offers an opportunity to impact both individual development and organizational capability across multiple teams and business areas.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience designing, delivering, and evaluating technical or operational learning programs in a corporate or operational environment
  • Associate’s degree or higher preferred; equivalent experience in L&D, Training, Instructional Design, or Operations accepted
  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory, performance-based learning, and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE)
  • Proficiency with learning technologies and tools, including LMS platforms and eLearning development software
  • Excellent planning, project management, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual environment while collaborating effectively with teams
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com and willingness to stay current on learning technologies and trends

Responsibilities

  • Develop, deliver, and maintain technical, system, and role-based learning programs to enhance performance and operational proficiency
  • Collaborate with SMEs and business leaders to align learning solutions with operational and strategic objectives
  • Utilize learning technologies (e.g., Cornerstone LMS, Articulate, Camtasia) to create and manage engaging eLearning modules and blended programs
  • Track training completion and evaluate program effectiveness to inform continuous improvement
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and microlearning content to support skill development across functions
  • Manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results
