About The Position

Responsible for owning lifecycle marketing strategy and execution across the full customer journey—from lead generation through loan origination and into long-term customer retention. Accountable for advancing customers through the funnel by designing, deploying, and optimizing lifecycle programs that drive transfers to Loan Officers, support mid-funnel progression to origination, and increase cross-sell and retention within the servicing portfolio. This position is both strategic and hands-on. The role partners closely with Sales, Contact Strategy, Product, Data, and Technology teams, while maintaining direct ownership of lifecycle platforms, audience design, campaign execution, measurement, and optimization. The Director defines success metrics, translates business goals into lifecycle programs, and continuously iterates based on performance data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or a minimum of seven (7) + years of experience in lifecycle marketing and CRM.
  • Demonstrated experience owning lifecycle programs across multiple funnel stages in a complex, cross-functional environment.
  • Hands-on experience building audiences, journeys, and automated campaigns within marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience working with large datasets, customer segmentation, and performance analytics.
  • Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing across multi-stage funnels, including acquisition, activation, conversion, and retention.
  • Proven ability to operate hands-on in marketing automation and CRM platforms, owning end-to-end campaign execution.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience translating data into actionable lifecycle strategies and experiments.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and designing structure where none exists.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed execution and platform-level work.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Track record of improving funnel performance through segmentation, messaging, timing, and orchestration, not just volume.
  • Understanding of regulated environments and the role of compliance in lifecycle communications.

  • Prior experience in financial services, lending, subscriptions, or other complex transaction-based businesses is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Owns lifecycle marketing across Top of Funnel (lead to transfer), Mid Funnel (LO to origination), and Post-Close Retention, ensuring alignment across channels and stages.
  • Designs and deploys lifecycle strategies that increase successful LO transfers, improve transfer-to-origination conversion, and extend value of the long-tail customer base.
  • Serves as the lifecycle subject-matter expert, partnering with Brand, Creative, Sales, Contact Strategy, Product, Engineering, and Data to ensure messaging, timing, and routing work together as a single system.
  • Partners with team to develop AI and automated solutions to lifecycle marketing
  • Leads hands-on execution in marketing automation platforms (Braze, Total Expert, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.), including audience segmentation, journey orchestration, testing, deployment, and optimization.
  • Develops and manages lifecycle measurement frameworks, including funnel performance, stage-based conversion, re-engagement effectiveness, and retention impact.
  • Uses behavioral, transactional, and market signals to trigger context-aware lifecycle communications rather than generic batch campaigns.
  • Oversees lifecycle experimentation roadmap, balancing rapid iteration with stability and compliance requirements.
  • Translates complex customer journeys into simple, scalable lifecycle frameworks the business can operationalize.
  • Provides clear reporting and insights to leadership, highlighting performance trends, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Influences roadmap and prioritization for lifecycle-related platform capabilities through close collaboration with Technology and Data partners.
  • Ensures all lifecycle communications adhere to compliance, regulatory, and brand standards.
  • Manages team members along with contractors.
  • Performs other duties and projects assigned.
