Sr Lab Technician
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services. The Senior Laboratory Technician will perform sample preparation on tobacco products using smoking machine and wet chemistry techniques, and provide support to analytical chemists. This role will also perform less complex routine analyses for product assessment and quality control on tobacco products using multiple wet chemistry techniques. Accurate documentation of results in notebooks and the laboratory LIMS, in compliance with good documentation practices, is essential. The technician will also be responsible for instrument calibration and recognizing errors, adhering to the highest quality standards, and ensuring compliance with quality system requirements. Effective communication with client staff and co-workers is also a key aspect of this position.
Requirements
- At least one-year related laboratory or quality control experience
- Familiarity with standard lab concepts, practices, and procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
