About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with Modern Angular experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, including experience with legacy Java GUI toolkits, and a solid understanding of modern Angular frameworks. This role requires the ability to interview onsite and involves working with web application design, development, and testing in a Windows or Linux environment. Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and Test-Driven Development is essential.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or other STEM majors.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience with Modern Angular (versions 8+).
• Experience with Swing (legacy Java GUI toolkit).
• Experience with Web application design and development using Java and Spring frameworks.
• Experience with Restful API development.
• Experience with debugging and testing in a Windows or Linux environment.
• Working knowledge of Angular, JavaScript, XML/JSON, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum Environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with updating AngularJS framework to newer versions of Angular.
• Experience with database design with relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test web applications using Java and Spring frameworks.
• Develop and maintain Restful APIs.
• Work with modern Angular (versions 8+) for front-end development.
• Utilize Swing for legacy Java GUI toolkit development.
• Debug and test applications in a Windows or Linux environment.
• Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
• Collaborate within an Agile Scrum environment.
• Communicate complex technical problems to non-technical audiences.
