About The Position

Join our team of professionals! Metric Engineering is searching for a Senior ITS Inspector for the Central Florida area. This position requires a high school diploma plus at least 4 years in construction CEI, two (2) years of which shall have been in ITS construction inspection or a Civil Engineering Degree and one (1) year of ITS CEI experience. Experience in Lighting and Signalization is also desired. This position is responsible for field inspection duties of the installation of ITS, Lighting, Signals and Network components. The position shall maintain as-built drawings of daily work activities, as well as documentation of contractor work activities, personnel, vehicles, and item quantities installed. A firm understanding of CFX and FDOT specifications, policies and procedures is also desired.

Requirements

• High school diploma plus at least 4 years in construction CEI, two (2) years of which shall have been in ITS construction inspection or a Civil Engineering Degree and one (1) year of ITS CEI experience.
• Firm understanding of CFX and FDOT specifications, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for inspecting construction work; monitoring ITS, Lighting, Signalization and electrical installation techniques to ensure conformance with the plans, specifications, National Electrical code and other applicable manuals.
• Responsible for coordinating and managing the lower level inspectors and escalating any deficiencies to the Project Administrator.
