About The Position

The Senior IT Project Manager – Analytics is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, enterprise-level analytics and data transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and strategic thinker who can effectively manage stakeholders, risks, and resources. This position plays a key role in driving operational excellence within the PMO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, business or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in all phases of project management from high level planning to execution to roll-out including change management, UAT and training.
• Experience managing a diverse team which may include remotes resources, third party consultants and MSPs.
• Responsible for vendor management including tracking costs and time.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in defining, estimating, scheduling, updating and reporting project deliverables and resources in a detailed fashion using PM tools.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong time management skills.
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• PMP, Scrum Master or similar certifications desired.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow PPM, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar project and portfolio management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large, complex IT projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Partner closely with Business, Analytics, and IT stakeholders to define requirements, manage resources, oversee budgets, and guide projects through all phases of delivery including design, build, testing, deployment, and post-implementation review.
• Serve as the lead for the Analytics workstream within the S/4HANA implementation; manage the analytics team’s sprint planning and execution during the S/4HANA build, ensuring deliverables are aligned to program milestones and integrated across the SAP landscape.
• Oversee scope, risks, dependencies, and vendor performance, requiring working knowledge of platforms such as Databricks, SAP Datasphere, SAP BW/4HANA, and other enterprise reporting tools.
• Emphasize strong Agile and traditional project management disciplines, stakeholder engagement, and governance to deliver scalable analytics and reporting capabilities that support enterprise decision-making.
• Provide clear status reporting, articulate risks and trade-offs, influence senior leadership, and present analytics initiatives in a concise, business-focused manner.
• Define and analyze requirements; develop/maintain project plans and documentation; manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial tracking, including capital and expense oversight; manage quality through acceptance testing; and lead post project evaluation sessions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders; communicate project status, risks, and outcomes effectively.
• Lead and direct project team members and third-party resources by assigning/monitoring tasks and identifying/resolving issues to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines and schedules. Lead cross-functional teams and third-party vendors, ensuring accountability and timely delivery of deliverables.
• Support strategic planning and roadmap development for upcoming initiatives.
• Develop and implement programs and project management methodology that is flexible, appropriately manages risk and leads to successful implementation of projects. Improve performance through optimized practices and processes. Contribute to PMO best practices, methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
