About The Position

The IT Senior Developer provides a broad range of system solutions development to business problems through the development and programming of applications / systems. Performs complex to difficult technical tasks independently. Possesses advanced knowledge of technology, tools, various programming languages, processes, and procedures. Has extensive knowledge of the business, enterprise technology areas and / or the organization. Acts as a key subject matter expert who consults with and may lead clients and/or project teams on multiple aspects of development issues. Works as the senior or lead developer and coaches/guides team members within area of expertise. Resolves highly complex and multifaceted development related problems.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions/Workflows, Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and security testing tools (e.g., Veracode, AquaSec, SonarQube).
  • Proficiency in Linux Administration including resource management and command line operations (Virtual Machines).
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and technologies, particularly in Azure and Google Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure such as firewalls, load balancers and DNS.
  • Experience with ticketing system such as Jira and ServiceNow.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology, with a focus on DevOps and cloud security.
  • Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a financial services environment is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure/Google Cloud DevOps Certification, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Automate Deployment of COTS or In-house applications to on-premises or cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines or Kubernetes: Design, implement, and manage automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools like GitHub Actions/Workflows, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Secure CI/CD Pipelines: Configure and secure CI/CD pipelines that ensure code quality, testing, and security compliance, from development through to production.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain detailed documentation of all automation processes and configurations, and support audit processes by providing necessary logs and reports.
  • Create technical and user documentation to enable knowledge sharing among the team as well as the user community.
  • Follow IT and Change Management processes, adhering to policies, procedures, control standards and best practices for successful completion of implementations using applicable tools, such as ServiceNow.
