About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep experience in the healthcare domain to join our technology and operations team. This individual must be able to step into active initiatives immediately, translate complex operational and regulatory healthcare requirements into clear technical solutions, and drive execution across cross-functional teams. This role requires a consultative, systems-minded analyst who understands healthcare workflows, eligibility, claims, funding, provider data, and regulatory considerations, and who can work directly with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design and deliver solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in TPA, payer, or health plan environments and is comfortable working across custom applications, APIs, data integrations, and vendor platforms.

Requirements

  • 8+ years as a Business Analyst
  • 5+ years in healthcare payer, TPA, or health plan environment
  • Strong understanding of: Eligibility and enrollment Claims processing Funding and finance Benefits configuration
  • Experience working with: Custom software teams APIs and system integrations SQL/data analysis Vendor systems and platform integrations
  • Ability to read and understand technical architecture and data models
  • Experience writing requirements that developers can build from without ambiguity
  • Comfortable working in environments without heavy structure or bureaucracy
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a TPA environment
  • Experience with VBA, claims engines, or benefit rule systems
  • Experience with member portals, secure messaging, or healthcare communications
  • Experience working with vendors and clearinghouses
  • Understanding of HIPAA and PHI data handling in system design
  • Experience modernizing or integrating legacy healthcare systems
  • Familiarity with Azure environments and modern web stacks

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly understand our current healthcare systems, workflows, and integrations
  • Work directly with operations, member experience, claims, eligibility, and provider teams to gather real requirements
  • Translate healthcare business processes into clear functional and technical requirements
  • Partner with architects and developers to design solutions across: Member systems Claims and eligibility platforms Secure messaging and member/provider communications Vendor integrations and APIs
  • Identify gaps in workflows, system design, and data movement
  • Lead requirement workshops and whiteboarding sessions
  • Produce high-quality artifacts: Process maps Data flow diagrams Use cases and user stories
  • Drive projects from concept through delivery and validation
  • Act as a bridge between healthcare operations and IT
  • Anticipate downstream impacts of configuration, benefit design, and data structures
  • Assist in rationalizing legacy processes into modern system approaches
