About The Position

The Senior Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) Hardware Analyst oversees complex hardware asset management projects, including the hardware lifecycle program and managed service provider services. This role involves coordinating team resources, developing execution plans, and monitoring milestone progress. Responsibilities include managing the procurement, deployment, and disposal of hardware assets, ensuring compliance with policies, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. The position requires effective communication with various departments, vendors, and leadership, emphasizing data analysis and budget management to optimize asset utilization and reduce costs. Additionally, the role involves providing technical direction, training, and mentorship to a team of asset management professionals.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in an IT role, including 3 years’ experience with deployment and technology migration.
  • Exhibits 5+ years of experience in IT and asset management. Skilled in developing and implementing asset management strategies, optimizing asset utilization, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Capable of leading asset management initiatives and mentoring junior team members.
  • 5+ years of experience leading large-scale, complex enterprise projects and programs, with a proven track record of achieving business outcomes that differentiate the organization in the marketplace.
  • 6+ years’ experience and proficient in designing, configuring, implementing, and operating endpoint solutions, including desktops, laptops, tablets, phones, networks, printers, and scanners. Demonstrates strong technical knowledge and competency in managing these devices effectively.
  • Possesses advanced decision-making skills to deliver optimal technology solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Leads workflow and training for deployment and technology migration projects, ensuring efficient team performance.
  • Demonstrates the ability to guide and support team members in their tasks and projects. Shows potential in providing constructive feedback, sharing knowledge, and motivating team members to achieve their goals.
  • 3 years’ experience and exhibits strong vendor and procurement management capabilities. Skilled in reviewing contracts, managing vendor performance, and resolving issues. Efficiently handles equipment procurement, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition. Builds and maintains positive relationships with vendors to ensure high-quality service and support.
  • Presents excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, working effectively with all levels of the organization to achieve project goals. Demonstrates advanced technical writing skills and the ability to resolve issues by navigating diverse perspectives. Maintains a strong customer service focus, is highly organized, and team oriented.
  • Exhibits strong skills in budget creation, planning, and reporting. 3+ years proficiency in developing comprehensive budgets, conducting in-depth data analysis, and generating detailed metrics. Capable of providing strategic insights and recommendations based on financial data and trends. Skilled in presenting complex financial information to stakeholders.
  • Exhibits a solid understanding of IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow. Capable of utilizing these tools to streamline IT processes, manage incidents, and track service requests. Shows proficiency in configuring and customizing the tool to meet organizational needs, ensuring efficient workflow and improved service delivery.
  • Reliable transportation to perform work at multiple sites during a scheduled shift.
  • Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, evenings/weekends, depending on project requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • B.S./B.A. in computer science, information technology, business administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT asset management, including experience in a healthcare environment or large enterprise (10,000+ users).
  • Hardware Asset Management Specialist (HAMS) Certification.
  • PgMP or another program management certification
  • • Program Management Professional (PgMP) or another program management certification.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination of end-user hardware deployment (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices) throughout the organization.
  • Actively manage several complex hardware asset management projects, providing updates to the Technology Asset Management Hardware team, including functional and non-functional information, clarifications, and addressing questions as required.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to technical resources to ensure deployment activities are followed.
  • Create and provide detailed reports to supervisors and other team members detailing the status of projects and the location of organizational assets.
  • Work with new members of the organization to understand the capabilities and limitations of working on the network.
  • Provide analytical and technical knowledge to ensure successful project implementation and outstanding service delivery.
  • Function as a project team resource, collaborating internally with other team members to meet customer requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive deliverables from vendors and partners.
  • Facilitate and coordinate project purchases, execution resources, and vendors.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate procurement activities.
  • Plan, execute, and track asset lifecycle management.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
  • Ensure adherence to budget baselines and manage project budgets effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with asset management policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategic asset management plans.
  • Oversee the procurement, deployment, and disposal of hardware assets.
  • Manage the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding assets, licenses, warranties, services, and lease agreements for the organization's hardware and software to address proper documentation, compliance, and inventory
  • Tracking and reporting of hardware and software assets analyzing large amounts of data and trends. Reporting dashboards with KPIs that may provide recommendation of best practices, warn of potential risks to the organization, provide compliance information, enhance visibility to asset status’s and provide financial cost avoidance or cost savings.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective procurement and deployment.
  • Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, evenings/weekends, depending on project requirements.
  • Perform work at multiple sites and transport equipment as needed.
