About The Position

This role supports the Manager of Investor Relations in building relationships with investors and analysts, effectively communicating the company's story. The analyst will respond to inquiries under supervision, develop a deep understanding of key business drivers and metrics, and assist in preparing senior leaders for investor engagement activities. The position involves gathering financial data and preparing various materials such as quarterly earnings releases, analyst presentations, fact sheets, press releases, Q&A responses, and ad hoc analytical requests, while also seeking efficiencies in these processes. Collaboration across the organization is key to achieving departmental objectives. The analyst will prepare in-depth analyses, presentations, and reports for senior leadership, including briefing sheets, product primers, analyst research summaries, investor interaction reports, and Wall Street consensus tracking. Additionally, the role involves drafting reports on investor relations activities, share ownership, and valuation for the quarterly Board Book. A significant part of the role includes coordinating ESG meetings with the investment community, maintaining ESG Q&A with internal ESG groups, and monitoring external ESG ratings and information for accuracy. The analyst will also organize the logistics for investor meetings, conferences, and earnings calls, maintain investor contact databases, and track investor interactions. A strong understanding of capital markets, buy-side, and sell-side analysts is required, including collecting and analyzing sell-side estimates and maintaining consensus models. The position is responsible for monthly reporting of outstanding common stock, maintaining shareholder profile data, and coordinating with the transfer agent, Accounting, and the Corporate Secretary. The analyst will monitor and update the Investor Relations section of the company's website for accuracy and conduct ongoing monitoring of peer group companies' presentations, financial reporting, disclosures, and websites. Assistance to the treasury department will be provided as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field
  • 4 years of experience in investor relations or corporate finance disciplines.
  • Ability to communicate, persuade and/or influence internal and/or external customers at all levels on matters of a technical and/or complex nature.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to act as a company representative with shareholders and the investment community.
  • Strong verbal and written skills are essential.
  • Ability to review and prepare moderately complex financial and/or accounting methods.
  • Advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and/or graphics including ability to use Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.

  • Works to find efficiencies in the preparation of these items.
  • Works closely with others throughout the organization to achieve the objectives of the department.
  • Prepares deep dives, presentations, and reports for senior leadership, including briefing sheets and product primers, analyst research, investor interactions and Wall Street consensus.
  • Drafts reports on investor relations activities, share ownership, and valuation for inclusion in the quarterly Board Book.
  • Coordinates ESG meetings with the investment community.
  • Works with other ESG groups in the organization to maintain ESG Q&A.
  • Performs ongoing monitoring of external ESG ratings/information within the investment community to assure accuracy.
  • Organize logistics of investor meetings, conferences, and earnings calls.
  • Maintains investor contact databases and tracks investor interactions.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the capital markets and the roles of the buy-side and sell-side analysts.
  • Collects and analyzes sell-side estimates and maintains consensus models.
  • Prepares the monthly reporting of outstanding common stock of the company and maintaining shareholder profile data and support.
  • Coordinates with transfer agent, Accounting and the Corporate Secretary.
  • Monitors and drafts updates for the Investor Relations section of the company’s website to assure the accuracy of information presented.
  • Performs ongoing monitoring of peer group companies’ presentations, financial reporting, disclosures, and websites to support the department.
  • Assists treasury department as needed.
