About The Position

This position will be supporting both Body and Neuro IR at our SF Parnassus campus. Must be available to work Monday to Friday with call duties (50% pay) on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. The Senior IR Technologist advanced responsibilities can include, yet are not limited to the following: Demonstrate competency actively and participate in the lead/coordinator role. Active participation in an annual performance improvement project or active participation in IR Quality Assurance/Radiation Safety meetings. Demonstrate competency and the ability to instruct one or more of the advanced procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-6 years of IR experience.
  • Previous experience in healthcare environment required (minimum 3-5 years).
  • Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, with the ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays.
  • Must be willing to learn and train in Neuro-IR and Body-IR
  • Must be willing to circulate and fill scrubbing roles during procedures as necessary
  • Ability to self direct and organize a varied workload
  • ARRT Licensure
  • CRT Licensure
  • BLS (CPR) Certification
  • Minimum 3 years of Interventional Radiology experience
  • Body and Neuro IR experience
  • Experience in healthcare environment required (minimum 3-5 years).

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer recent work experience in an acute care setting
  • Prefer VIR Certification or obtained within 1 year of hire
  • VIR Certification (VASCULAR INTERVENTIONAL RADIOGRAPHY) or obtained within 1 year of hire
  • 3-5 years Experienced with Neuro and Body IR, previous experience in similar acute care setting, experience working in both inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • Can work 8 hour shifts M-F, variable shift including weekends, and taking call.
  • Good interpersonal, reliability (comes to work on time everyday), strong communication, team work attributes is important, being flexible and adaptable when things changes.
