About The Position

The Sr. Integration Architect is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational performance, reliability, and governance of the organization’s integration and middleware ecosystem. This role exists to ensure that all integration platforms, APIs, and middleware services operate efficiently, securely, and in alignment with business and technology objectives. This role provides leadership across operations, support, monitoring, change management, and continuous improvement for integration services that connect mission-critical applications and data flows. This role ensures high availability, standardized practices, and scalable processes that enable seamless system-to-system communication across the enterprise.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years’ progressive experience in focused on enterprise integration architecture or API platform design.
  • Strong hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including: API-led connectivity architecture, DataWeave transformations, API Manager, Runtime Manager, Anypoint Exchange, Anypoint Monitoring
  • Experience with TIBCO BusinessWorks, EMS, or enterprise messaging platforms.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices integrations, and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and external partner ecosystems.
  • Experience working in AWS-based and hybrid integration environments.
  • Experience with Mulesoft vibes for Faster API/Integration development.
  • Experience with exposing Mulesoft API’s to Salesforce Agentforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Expertise in enterprise integration patterns, API-led connectivity, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of API management platforms and API governance frameworks.
  • Experience designing event-driven architectures and distributed integration systems.
  • Proficiency in integration data standards including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and messaging protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of API security practices including OAuth2, token management, and secure API design.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps integration practices, and cloud-native deployment models.
  • Strong analytical, architecture modeling, and diagramming skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience modernizing legacy integration platforms or migrating services between middleware platforms preferred.
  • Preferred certifications: MuleSoft Certified Developer or MuleSoft Certified Architect, AWS or cloud platform certification, Integration architecture or API management certifications

Responsibilities

  • Design and govern enterprise integration architecture including API, middleware platforms, microservices, event-driven integrations, and hybrid cloud connectivity patterns.
  • Define enterprise API and integration standards including lifecycle management, versioning strategy, documentation standards, and reusable integration frameworks.
  • Lead end to end project delivery, including coordinating and guiding offshore development.
  • Architect scalable integration patterns supporting internal systems, cloud platforms, and external partner ecosystem.
  • Lead design and development of enterprise integrations and APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and enterprise middleware technologies.
  • Develop and guide MuleSoft APIs and integration flows using API-led connectivity patterns, DataWeave transformations, and reusable assets.
  • Architect event-driven integration patterns leveraging messaging platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or enterprise messaging services
  • Lead assessment and phased modernization of legacy integration services including selective migration of common services from TIBCO to MuleSoft.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate reusable services, reduce point-to-point integrations, and promote API-led connectivity
  • Support enterprise initiatives to evolve the integration landscape toward API-driven and event-driven architectures.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable integration solutions.
  • Architect secure integrations with external partners, vendors, and ecosystem platforms.
  • Provide architectural guidance during product integration initiatives and application modernization programs.
  • Define and enforce API governance standards including API lifecycle management, documentation standards, and version control practices.
  • Design API gateway policies including authentication, rate limiting, throttling, and security policy enforcement.
  • Establish integration platform engineering practices including CI/CD pipelines, environment topology, and deployment standards.
  • Promote reuse of integration assets through shared templates, connectors, and Anypoint Exchange artifacts.
  • Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews.
  • Establish best practices for logging, observability, error handling, and resilience patterns.
  • Mentor integration engineers and developers to improve engineering maturity and architectural consistency.
  • Act as the senior technical authority for complex integration design decisions
