About The Position

The Inside Sales Sr. Account Manager for Key Customers & Compliance is responsible for collaborating with Messer’s Key Customer Managers with value-add proposals/bids, strategy, contract negotiations, and to grow relationships with key customers while ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and contract requirements. This role will mentor the Inside Sales Team and Supervise the Inside Sales Account Manager of Compliance. The role requires a proactive sales professional with strong customer relationship management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to navigate complex compliance processes.

Requirements

  • A high level of critical and innovative thinking, and questioning skills are required to uncover issues and create value for customers
  • A sense of urgency and responsiveness to take immediate action to resolve customer issues is required
  • MS Office including Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Must be a self-starter that is achievement driven and able to perform both individually and within a team environment
  • Strong business and financial acumen, proficient presentation skills and sound planning/organizing skills are essential
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7 years’ experience in Sales, or equivalent Messer role

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience using Salesforce or other CRM is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Maintain data regarding the various customer-site access requirements including safety, quality, background check, drug testing and other procedures
  • Work closely with key customer to ensure adherence to contractual agreements, industry regulations, and internal compliance policies. Escalate when necessary.
  • Monitor customer accounts for regulatory and policy adherence, working closely with legal, compliance teams and 3rd party contractors as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of required documentation for audits, regulatory filings, and contract renewals.
  • Provide support to Inside Sales Account Managers and act as an escalation point.
  • Uses judgement to make decisions or solve complex tasks or problems with compliance issues, projects, sales process and key customer disputes.
  • Ensures timely responses to information/documentation for customer compliance requests
  • Serve as a point of contact for key customer accounts, ensuring excellent service and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, identifying opportunities for account growth and retention.
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding product offerings, pricing, and service updates.
  • Ensure Inside Sales Account Manager is developing and maintaining strong relationships with their customers
  • Support key customer strategy: provide Sales support for managed accounts by coordinating services, developing, prospecting, and managing new and existing business.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Increase territory profitability through coordination with outside sales team
  • Use of prospecting tools to accurately identify prospect and customer account influencers
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and compliance documentation in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Generate reports and insights on account performance, compliance status, and sales trends.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Provide proposal support and is fluent on Messer’s standard terms and conditions.
