About The Position

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer designs, builds, manages, and implements enterprise infrastructure technologies to enable scalable, secure, reliable, and increasingly automated business operations. The role applies deep technical judgment and modern software engineering practices to improve how infrastructure capabilities are delivered, integrated, governed, and sustained across the enterprise. The engineer will help shape an evolving infrastructure automation capability, including its engineering practices, reusable patterns, and platform foundations. The work spans traditional infrastructure boundaries and involves production-grade automation and integration, turning complex operational needs into repeatable, supportable capabilities. Success requires curiosity, a growth mindset, disciplined engineering, and a willingness to challenge manual or fragmented approaches while working within enterprise standards and controls.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education, training, and work-related experience.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
  • Experience applying software engineering practices to infrastructure, including version control, automated testing, reusable design patterns, and CI/CD delivery.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, configuration management, orchestration, API integration, and event-driven automation concepts.
  • Experience integrating infrastructure capabilities across service management, configuration or asset data, observability, security, and delivery toolchains.
  • Working knowledge of secure engineering, policy-as-code, secrets management, auditability, and automated control evidence within infrastructure delivery.
  • Experience designing or operating reliable, production-grade infrastructure capabilities with attention to observability, resilience, maintainability, and lifecycle ownership.
  • Ability to independently deliver complex infrastructure solutions while contributing to shared standards, reusable patterns, technical documentation, and architecture decisions.
  • Curiosity and a growth mindset, including ability to learn emerging practices, seek feedback, share knowledge, and treat ambiguity as an engineering opportunity.
  • Experience reviewing technical work, mentoring less-experienced engineers, and explaining the reasoning behind engineering decisions.
  • Awareness of responsible applications of AI-assisted engineering and intelligent automation within governed enterprise platforms.
  • Relevant industry certifications in cloud, infrastructure, automation, security, reliability, or architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Work toward operational targets that have a major impact on infrastructure engineering department or job-area results and contribute to developing goals for the area of responsibility.
  • Design, build, manage, and implement enterprise infrastructure technology platforms and systems across cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, or middleware domains.
  • Develop and apply automation, monitoring, and optimization techniques to support infrastructure availability and performance.
  • Manage large infrastructure projects and programs aligned with organizational strategy and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to integrate technologies and continuously improve infrastructure standards and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues affecting infrastructure performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with technology strategies, standards, and governance to mitigate risks and support regulatory adherence.
  • Review infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures to promote operational consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and direction to infrastructure teams and lower-level technical professionals.
  • Influence stakeholders in support of business and technical strategic objectives.
