About The Position

Reporting to Sr. Staff Enterprise Architect, the Sr. Infrastructure Architect will provide systems engineering support for new initiatives involving AWS/Outposts, GridOS, Markets, and ADMS infrastructure for Services projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in system infrastructure design and integration within comparable environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong hands-on experience in system integration and design, networking, operating systems, software installation and maintenance, help desk support, and data storage technologies.
  • Technical expertise with HPE, Dell, Cisco, Linux, Kubernetes (Rancher RKE), Windows, VMware, and AWS environments.
  • Ability to install, rack, cable, configure, and verify hardware for proper operation.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Git, and Active Directory.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols.
  • Proficiency with standard Windows desktop applications, including Microsoft Office and Visio.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare professional and technical reports, documentation, and procedures.
  • Comfortable delivering informal presentations to both technical and non-technical staff and customers.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments and adjust priorities based on departmental and business needs.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering support for new initiatives involving AWS/Outposts, GridOS, Markets, and ADMS infrastructure for Services projects.
  • Design, integrate, install, and maintain system infrastructure in complex enterprise environments.
  • Support system integration and design activities across networking, operating systems, software installation and maintenance, help desk functions, and data storage technologies.
  • Work with infrastructure platforms and technologies including HPE, Dell, Cisco, Linux, Kubernetes (Rancher RKE), Windows, VMware, and AWS.
  • Perform hardware installation and configuration, including racking, cabling, and verification of proper system operation.
  • Administer and support database and development-related technologies such as Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Visual Studio, Git, and Active Directory.
  • Apply networking knowledge, including TCP/IP protocols, to support infrastructure connectivity and performance.
  • Use standard business and technical tools effectively, including Windows desktop applications, Microsoft Office, and Visio.
  • Create professional and technical reports, documentation, and operating procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff, customers, and stakeholders, including delivering informal presentations as needed.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple assignments, adjusting work efforts based on departmental needs and business goals.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of self-motivation and accountability.
  • Collaborate effectively within team environments to achieve shared project and operational goals.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of personal and professional integrity in all work activities.
  • Support business operations by working occasional non-standard hours when required.
  • Perform regular physical activities associated with the role, including walking, filing documents, and moving equipment, storage boxes, books, and files.
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as needed, to support project and business requirements.
