Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of prior relevant experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing/Systems Engineering, or Operations improvement; OR an advanced degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience leading Kaizen, 5S, SMED events
  • US Citizenship is required due to government contracts
  • The position requires a 20% travel

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business management and 5+ years’ experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing/Systems Engineering, or Operations
  • Experience in Aerospace manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certification
  • Lean Manufacturing Certification
  • Experience in various computer software and administrative abilities
  • Experience with data mining & manipulation with Excel, VBA, SQL, Power BI
  • Strong analytical, creative thinking and project management skills
  • Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and iteration of enterprise-wide improvement initiatives
  • Work cross-functionally to imbed Industrial Engineering tools and processes in manufacturing or assembly facilities
  • Study product requirements and determine capital equipment and labor staffing to meet requirements
  • Conduct machine capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OEE)
  • Conduct labor capacity analysis and identify/manage improvement initiatives to increase efficiency (OLE)
  • Develop methods to increase productivity, maximize efficiency and manage human capital more effectively
  • Recommend capital investment strategy to meet product delivery and cost targets
  • Evaluate the effects of schedule and product design changes
  • Design layouts of equipment and workspace and improving process flow
  • Participate and lead Kaizen events
