About The Position

Responsible for developing, advocating, enabling and deploying Medtronic Performance System (MPS) using the tools and systems to drive operational excellence. Partner with colleagues to set standards, see gaps to the standard and close those gaps through Problem Solving Tools. Responsible for Lean transformations and other improvement techniques. Responsible for project management of various Lean transformation and flow acceleration projects. Utilize Value Stream adoption of Six Sigma and Lean performance improvement methodologies. Leverage Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC), Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing training & coaching for project execution. Facilitate various Kaizen events across the Value Stream. Leverage Lean Manufacturing tools and principles including set-up reduction, standardized work, value stream mapping, Heijunka and A3 thinking. Implement various Lean Principles to create standardized work charts, process maps, Value Stream Mapping. Utilize Modeling capacity through statistical data analysis. Develop and facilitate various equipment layouts. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical or Electronics Engineering or related engineering field and two (2) years of experience as an industrial engineer or related occupation in manufacturing or quality engineering; OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical or Electronics Engineering or related engineering field and five (5) years of experience as an industrial engineer or related occupation in manufacturing or quality engineering.
  • Two (2) years of experience with coordinating Lean transformation and flow acceleration projects.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Value Stream adoption of Six Sigma and Lean performance improvement methodologies.
  • Two (2) years of experience with DMAIC, Six-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing training & coaching.
  • Two (2) years of experience facilitating Kaizen events across the Value Stream.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and principles, including set-up reduction, standardized work, value stream mapping, Heijunka and A3 thinking.
  • Two (2) years of experience with implementation of Lean principles to create standardized work charts, process maps, and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Two (2) years of experience with modeling capacity through statistical data analysis.
  • Two (2) years of experience developing and facilitating equipment layouts.
