About The Position

Archer Meat Snacks, a rapidly growing brand in the Natural and Specialty Channel, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to provide strategic and operational HR leadership for its Southern California manufacturing operations. This role involves overseeing two production facilities, leading two HR Managers, and collaborating with various departments including Operations, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Safety. The position is crucial for enhancing employee engagement, driving organizational effectiveness, coaching leaders, improving HR operations, and ensuring compliance within a dynamic manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a manufacturing environment, build strong relationships with operational leaders, and be passionate about people development and creating scalable HR processes to support business growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with leadership responsibility.
  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing, food production, distribution, or CPG facilities.
  • Experience leading and developing Human Resources professionals.
  • Strong employee relations experience including investigations, performance management, conflict resolution, and employment decision-making.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, wage and hour regulations, and workplace accommodations.
  • Experience leading HR operations, HR process improvement, policy development, compliance, and HRIS optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and partner effectively with Operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Professional fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Strong analytical, communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar HRIS platforms.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • Master's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational HR leadership across Archer's two Southern California production facilities.
  • Lead, coach, and develop two Human Resources Managers, fostering consistency, accountability, and professional growth within the HR team.
  • Partner with Plant Leadership to align people strategies with operational objectives and support organizational growth.
  • Drive consistency across HR programs, policies, procedures, and employee experience in both facilities.
  • Serve as the primary advisor to leaders on employee relations, performance management, investigations, corrective actions, conflict resolution, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead complex workplace investigations, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Coach leaders through performance conversations, leadership development, workforce planning, and organizational change.
  • Build trusted relationships across all organizational levels and maintain a strong presence in both manufacturing facilities.
  • Oversee HR operations including policy administration, compliance, leave of absence management, workplace accommodations, workers' compensation, payroll oversight, and HR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, California state, and local employment laws, minimizing organizational risk.
  • Continuously improve HR processes, documentation, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
  • Support HRIS optimization, reporting accuracy, data integrity, and process automation initiatives.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on workforce planning, recruiting strategy, onboarding, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Help build programs that improve employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational capability.
  • Develop and monitor HR dashboards, workforce metrics, and analytics to support business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across employee programs, policies, and leadership practices.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Safety, Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and Executive Leadership to support business initiatives.
  • Provide strategic HR guidance during organizational changes, workforce planning, and business expansion.
  • Help establish scalable HR processes that support Archer's continued growth.
