About The Position

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Sr. Human Resources Advisor. The Sr. Human Resources Advisor is an important role that will provide support to the Human Resources Division and works closely with the HR Leadership team. This position serves as a trusted HR Advisor that partners closely with Virginia Housing managers to improve performance, drive organizational change, and solve complex personnel issues. The role is responsible for full life cycle recruiting, supporting designated functional areas, classification, compensation, and ensuring compliance with legal and corporate guidelines. In addition, the role provides support in the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of Human Resources policies and programs. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with an HR Management focus preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Several years experience serving as a trusted advisor to business partners.
  • Several years of experience, 5+ years preferred, in a Human Resources role with demonstrated experience in full life cycle recruiting, employee relations and performance management, and HR administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply sound judgment in decision making.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Good consulting skills, ability to coach and build strong relationships across the organization.
  • Considerable knowledge of human resources principles and practice.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
