As a Sr. Human Factors Engineer, you are passionate about user-centered design and developing next-generation products that are intuitive, safe, and efficient to use. As part of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions Experience Design and Human Factors team, you will work with a team of product managers, clinical specialists, engineers, and designers, guiding the design of our products, and shaping what amazing experiences look and feel like from a user perspective. In this role, you will apply knowledge of human performance (perceptual, cognitive and motor skills) and human factors techniques to identify user needs, understand use-related risks, develop requirements, evaluate design solutions, and validate that our products are safe and effective. Activities will include: field research to identify user needs and workflows; task analysis; software and hardware user interface design; conducting usability evaluations; data analysis; communicate research outcomes to key stakeholders; risk assessment/mitigation; and completing all internal and external documentation. Your curiosity, passion for human-centric design, and problem-solving prowess will be pivotal to your success, and help us transform the cardiac ablation space, with product experience at the core. You thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment and are comfortable adapting to evolving priorities and project needs. You can effectively manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, applying human factors engineering methods across a wide range of activities, from planning and conducting generative and evaluative research, to providing ergonomic and usability guidance to product development teams, to assessing the effectiveness of risk mitigations and design controls. The Affera Mapping and Ablation System is an innovative medical technology designed to treat patients with cardiac arrhythmias. The system involves advanced mapping techniques to create detailed images of the heart's electrical activity, helping physicians identify abnormal areas causing arrhythmias. Once identified, the Affera Ablation System delivers targeted energy to disrupt these abnormal signals, restoring normal heart rhythm.
