About The Position

The Sr HSE Professional is a leadership role accountable for the Site-wide development, implementation, and continual improvement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). This position ensures alignment of safety strategy with business objectives and regulatory requirements, and it champions a proactive, high-performance safety culture operational sites. The Sr. Safety Manager provides strategic direction, subject matter expertise, and reporting to support corporate governance, risk reduction, and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • OSGA 500 or equivalent authorized trainer
  • CHST, OSHT, or CIH required
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in HSE, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-risk, high-complexity safety programs across construction, manufacturing, and mission-critical operations
  • Proven ability to lead culture change, strategic planning, and safety innovation initiatives
  • Experience with regulatory agency interface, legal case support, and insurance safety evaluations
  • Experience implementing human performance frameworks and serious injury s fatality (SIF) prevention strategies

  • Master’s degree in Safety, Risk Management, or Business Administration

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of an integrated OHSMS aligned with ISO 45001 and other relevant standards.
  • Implement a forward-looking safety strategy embedded into business operations at the project site level.
  • Collaborate with Operation leaders to align safety objectives with enterprise goals and project site requirements.
  • Drive accountability through measurable leading and lagging safety performance indicators.
  • Oversee site safety leadership, ensuring consistent execution of programs and continuous capability development.
  • Manage project site compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audit programs, gap assessments, and safety reviews of sub-contractors.
  • Mange HSE personnel at the site level to ensure HSE staff is complete daily requirements.
  • Support talent development and mentorship of SHE personnel across all site levels.
  • Audit project work environments, evaluate practices, and procedures to assess risk and adherence to guidelines, and provide inspection reports to project team and supervisors.
  • Provide documentation and compile the monthly safety tracking data report for management.
  • Produce other safety reports as needed.
  • Lead incident investigations and provides corrective action recommendations to upper management concerning safety and health issues that may affect the project and the company.
