About The Position

The Regional Human Resources (HR) Professional provides administrative HR support to assigned sites, helping execute HR strategies, serving as a key employee contact, and supporting engagement and workforce effectiveness. This role requires the ability to balance employee and business needs, drive action and results, and maintain strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. The professional will also be responsible for leading HR process and systems improvements and coaching team members in line with OC values.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree or four years’ experience in HR.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other systems.
  • Able to quickly learn and accurately use HRIS, UKG, and SuccessFactors.
  • Change agent who drives action and results.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance employee and business needs.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices in performance management, compensation, payroll, leave administration, recruiting, and talent development.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to deliver results quickly, manage data, and balance multiple perspectives.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and flexibility.
  • Able to build strong working relationships.
  • Able to perform complex mathematical calculations.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Able to support additional Owens Corning locations or operations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main escalation point for plant employees on HR policies, benefits, payroll, processes, and resources.
  • Manage HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors, Talent Center, and UKG to track recruiting, job changes, time, pay, learning, training, and HR metrics.
  • Prepare HRIS and business system reports, track metrics, and recommend training or policy changes to improve performance.
  • Ensure HR compliance with applicable regulations to reduce company risk.
  • Coordinate with external agencies on benefits, workers’ compensation, unemployment, charitable giving, and employee or community events.
  • Conduct new hire, benefits, safety, and visitor orientations.
  • Plan training, meetings, recognition programs, and plant events.
  • Coordinate wellness programs, physical exams, and drug testing with employees, leaders, medical teams, and providers.
  • Serve as the plant resource for compensation and benefits, including plan updates and open enrollment.
  • Administer FMLA, STD, and other leaves of absence.
  • Support regional training and development initiatives through the T&D pillar.
  • Lead HR process and systems improvements.
  • Coach and develop team members in line with OC values.
  • Follow and enforce safety rules, procedures, training, and initiatives.
  • Support additional HR processes and division HR projects as assigned.
