About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Sr. Highway Project Manager to join their talented Transportation team. This position can be located in the Munster, IN area, or surrounding areas or can be Remote in Indiana. This opportunity is also open to candidates wanting to work Hybrid. The role involves managing all phases of highway projects, including planning, design, and construction. It requires developing creative solutions to complex challenges, working closely with a team of engineers, designers, and other professionals. Additionally, the position entails maintaining close relationships with clients throughout project development and completion, and helping to build and strengthen new client relationships. The role also includes providing valuable mentorship to junior engineers and designers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of IN
  • Strong experience managing highway and transportation projects, including planning, design and construction experience on INDOT projects
  • Must reside in the state of Indiana or surrounding areas
  • Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development excursions, on-site inspections/visits, etc
  • The selected candidate must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of twelve (12) or more years of previous experience specializing in highway and transportation planning, design and construction
  • A minimum of five (5) years project management experience managing highway and transportation projects, including planning, design and construction
  • Knowledgeable of Indiana regional highway/transportation issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base
  • Previous experience in proposal and client management; demonstrated ability to develop new business opportunities and win project proposals

Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of highway projects including planning, design, and construction
